Description: This polygon shapefile contains Wellhead Protection Areas (WHPAs) for community and non-community, non-transient drinking water supplies in addition to watershed delineations for surface water intakes and groundwater sources under the direct influence of surface water. The data contains wellhead protection area (WHPA) polygons that represent Phase I or Phase II WHPAs based upon existing hydrologic data or advanced studies. NHDES uses a 500-foot radius circle for protection activities associated with sources for transient systems.

Description: A Hydrologic Area of Concern (HAC) is a land area surrounding a water source, which is intended to include the portion of the watershed in which land uses are likely to have the greatest impact on water quality at the water supply intake.
Description: This dataset features where both TMIN and TMAX = 0 in the original dataset have been removed. These features were either waterbodies or till, not stratified drift, per Rick Chormann (NH State Geologist). The value -31073 or -3107 which indicates an unassigned or undetermined value, has been edited to value 9999. The value 9999 may indicate a value not assigned. The value 9999 as a TMAX indicates an high transmissivity area with an unknown value.
