{ "currentVersion": 11.2, "cimVersion": "3.2.0", "serviceDescription": "The New Hampshire Geological Survey (NHGS),as part of the United States Geoscience Information Network (USGIN) provided a compilation of geologic maps in two (2) different scales. 1. These data contain polygon features digitized from the Bedrock Geologic Map of New Hampshire (Lyons and others, 1997). The bedrock geologic map displays the type, location, and geologic age of the rocks underlying the state. The map is a compilation of decades of work by geologists who mapped individual portions of the state at various times. Polygon features found in these data display the location and extent of each mapped bedrock body in the state at a scale of 1:250,000. 2. These data are from field mapping efforts of geologists over the last approximately 35 years and were compiled to 1:24000 scale, generally on a quadrangle basis. The data contain polygon, line and point features digitized from the original paper or scale stable media. These bedrock geologic maps display the type, location, and geologic age of the rocks underlying the state. Polygon features found in these data display the location and extent of each mapped bedrock body in the state at a scale of 1:24,000. A more thorough explanation for each of these datasets may be found in the accompanying metadata files. Data available for download.\n\nThis web map service (WMS) was published using ArcServer v. 10.1 and is compliant with OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) version 1.30 specifications. This service provides dynamic, spatially referenced geographic information using data collected for the National Geothermal Data System (http://www.geothermaldata.org/). In addition to the WMS capabilities, this service was designed to be interoperable with both WFS (Web Feature Services) as well as KML (Keyhole Markup Language). The WFS capabilities allow the client to query, make additions and/or modifications to an existing dataset. WFS can be utilized through the interoperability extension in ArcCatalog. For more information on using the ArcGIS data interoperability extension visit http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/extensions/datainteroperability /common-questions.html. A KML service allows the client to view an image of the data in three dimensions, using free software available for download on the internet such as ArcGIS Explorer or Google Earth.
